Road tripping

Looking at photos of a long ago road trip, I remembered the soundtrack.

Remembered how this guy can play with words.

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love

- Leonard Cohen

And if you want to listen, here is the song:

Lots of love,

Mangosteen

I am in love!

Daniel brought us some mangosteen from the Congo. This is the most delicious fruit I have ever eaten! It tastes
sour and sweet at the same time, and it definitely tastes of more!

It also is full of antioxidants, especially xanthone, which is a powerful anti-aging agent.

Needless to say, I planted the seeds and will give it Reiki, play it Mozart, and dance around it on a full moon...

Fingers crossed!

Daniel also brought this gorgeous, handmade, malachite bowl:

Wishing you a great start to the week!

Going to town

Today we went to town. Aalen is a lovely little place, full of old buildings, cobblestones, shoe shops and bakeries.

Getting ready:

I must have walked up and down these steps about 5 million times. Going to school, coming home from school, going to town, visiting friends... Seems like such a long time ago but they still look the same:

And now I have to forcefully separate Eva and her friend and drive Francesca home.

A lovely evening to you,

Working through the bucket list

This family time bucket list was a great idea! We are doing a lot more things together and it is really fun.

Here some pictures from our Sunday:

The cat and me doing our Sunday morning thing:

Eva's newest obsession: spying. That unfortunately means that her dad and I have to come up with interesting
things to do, so she can watch us and report back without us seeing her.
I hung up the washing and he ate the only ripe strawberry (why didn't I think of that!):

Then we went to visit the petting zoo:

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Sunday

At least once a week, we try to get out of town for a bit.

Today, we packed the dogs and Eva's bicycle and went for an excursion.
The bush is so beautiful at the moment!

Here some impressions for you:

Berg Vlug means Hideout at the mountain

The animal on the sign is a Kudu antilope. We saw quite a few, also some Gnu's and springbokkies.
